SERVICES

E-payment

Modalities of e-payment systems, requirements for cards and readers, processing of data, clearing, …

E-payment has been identified as one of the three prior services to offer to students in mobility.

Three online meetings (15.01.18 / 12.02 / 13.03) allowed to make a precise analysis of the current situation on the experimentation campuses. 2 work perspectives have been identified:

  • Imminent and linked to the experimentation of real mobility of students: give an easier access to local services by using the ESC-R to recognize the student status.
  • Mid and long term perspective: work on the possibility to have account that could be used in whole EU (first within the partners of the ESC consortium) / 1 European Izly

Moreover the ESC student interface will be ready for the experimentation. This will allow the student to activate /desactivate services i.e. to open an Izly account in France to pay on campus.

The student status recognition by presenting the QR held on the ESC will also make possible to issue a card to pay in university restaurants. Students can charge money on the electronic wallet by using their credit card and then will have access to local services.

The experimentation will focus on the how to facilitate access to services through the only status recognition.

Libraries

Use of university libraries (different levels of services: only access, lending, …), requirements for cards and readers

Library services have been identified as one of the three prior services to offer to students in mobility.

Three online meetings (19.01.18 / 13.02 / 14.03) helped build an overview on how the Library services were delivered to students and defined the data that is compulsory to use Library services in accordance to different levels of use regarding access and borrowing books.

Furthermore the discussions focused on how to include these data on the ESC-R, on how to solve the difficulty with fines to pay if books aren’t returned and on strengthening the cooperation between HEIs involved in the experimentation.

Erasmus mobility

Transfer of study credits, (digital) application, implementation and evaluation of Erasmus stays

The simplification of Erasmus mobility procedures have been identified as one of the three prior services to offer to students in mobility.

Three online meetings (22.02.18 / 15.02 / 22.03) have analyse how to how to connect the ESC-R to the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) tools in order to allow students in mobility to have an one-click access to all services offered to them.

The main focus is how to provide together all services: from the ESC platform and in reciprocity from the EWP hub.

CNCEU
